The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kitotolo plotted against Tanganyika and Democratic Republic of the Congo. While Tanganyika and Democratic Republic of the Congo both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Kitotolo's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kitotolo's incremental SNDi rose from 2.09 to 4.18 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Kitotolo ranked 7th out of 10 cities in Tanganyika and 100th out of 186 in Democratic Republic of the Congo as of 2020.

While Ghonchi and Asika both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Kitotolo fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Ghonchi and Asika both became progressively more disconnected, while Kitotolo fluctuated in connectivity. Kitotolo and Asika have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
