The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Karawa plotted against Nord-Ubangi and Democratic Republic of the Congo. The SNDi of new construction in Karawa followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Nord-Ubangi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Democratic Republic of the Congo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Karawa's incremental SNDi fell from 5.33 to 4.84 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Karawa ranked 3rd out of 5 cities in Nord-Ubangi and 129th out of 186 in Democratic Republic of the Congo as of 2020.

In new street additions, Karawa fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Frenda built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Jetisay built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Karawa became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Frenda became progressively more disconnected and Jetisay grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
