The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Sandoa plotted against Lualaba and Democratic Republic of the Congo. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Sandoa's incremental SNDi rose from 2.12 to 4.17 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Sandoa ranked 3rd out of 11 cities in Lualaba and 38th out of 186 in Democratic Republic of the Congo as of 2020.

Sandoa, Zhengyang, and Taourirt all fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street construction. For the full network, Sandoa fluctuated in connectivity, while Zhengyang became progressively more disconnected and Taourirt grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Sandoa and Zhengyang have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
