The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ariwara plotted against Ituri and Democratic Republic of the Congo. The SNDi of new construction in Ariwara rose steadily, compared to Ituri which was at its lowest in 1976-1990 and Democratic Republic of the Congo which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ariwara's incremental SNDi rose from 3.08 to 3.34 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ariwara ranked 4th out of 8 cities in Ituri and 96th out of 186 in Democratic Republic of the Congo as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ariwara and Wijigra both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Heyun built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Ariwara and Wijigra both became progressively more disconnected, while Heyun grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Ariwara had a more sprawly network than Wijigra in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
