The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Kabongo plotted against Haut-Lomami and Democratic Republic of the Congo. While Haut-Lomami and Democratic Republic of the Congo both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Kabongo's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Kabongo's incremental SNDi rose from 1.76 to 2.09 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020.

In new street additions, Kabongo and Angul both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Yunyang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Kabongo became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Angul became progressively more disconnected and Yunyang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Kabongo and Angul have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
