The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Musangala plotted against Haut-Katanga and Democratic Republic of the Congo. While Haut-Katanga and Democratic Republic of the Congo both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Musangala's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Musangala's incremental SNDi rose from 1.71 to 2.66 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Musangala ranked 7th out of 17 cities in Haut-Katanga and 20th out of 186 in Democratic Republic of the Congo as of 2020.

In new street additions, Musangala fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Puerto Ayacucho built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Guanxian built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Musangala and Puerto Ayacucho both became progressively more disconnected, while Guanxian grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Musangala and Puerto Ayacucho have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
