The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ostrava plotted against Moravskoslezský and Czechia. The SNDi of new construction in Ostrava followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Moravskoslezský which rose steadily and Czechia which rose steadily. Most recently, Ostrava's incremental SNDi rose from 2.9 to 3.02 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ostrava ranked 1st out of 2 cities in Moravskoslezský and 7th out of 12 in Czechia as of 2020.

While Jinxian and Castanhal both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, Ostrava fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. For the full network, Ostrava became progressively more disconnected, while Jinxian grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Castanhal grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved.
