The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Managua plotted against Ciudad de la Habana and Cuba. The SNDi of new construction in Managua followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Ciudad de la Habana which peaked in 1991-2005 and Cuba which peaked in 1991-2005. Most recently, Managua's incremental SNDi rose from 3.5 to 4.06 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Managua ranked 3rd out of 4 cities in Ciudad de la Habana and 25th out of 27 in Cuba as of 2020.

In new street additions, Managua fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Margate built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Elelim fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Managua and Margate both became progressively more disconnected, while Elelim became progressively more connected. Managua and Margate have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
