What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Barrancabermeja and Xinmin both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while 新华村 built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Barrancabermeja and Xinmin both became progressively more disconnected, while 新华村 became progressively more connected. Notably, Barrancabermeja had a more connected network than 新华村 in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
