The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Chía plotted against Cundinamarca and Colombia. The SNDi of new construction in Chía peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Cundinamarca which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and Colombia which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Chía's incremental SNDi fell from 6.18 to 5.7 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Chía ranked 6th out of 6 cities in Cundinamarca and 81st out of 83 in Colombia as of 2020.

In new street additions, Chía built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Yushu built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Olongapo fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Chía grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Yushu fluctuated in connectivity and Olongapo became progressively more disconnected. Chía and Yushu have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
