All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Yongkang's incremental SNDi rose from 2.03 to 2.2 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Yongkang ranked 13th out of 116 cities in Zhejiang and 259th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

For the full network, Yongkang and Hat Yai both became progressively more disconnected, while Guang'an fluctuated in connectivity. Yongkang and Hat Yai have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
