In new street additions, Shuitou built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Enugu Umunze built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Turku fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Shuitou and Turku both became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards, while Enugu Umunze became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Shuitou had a more connected network than Turku in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
