The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Shengzhou plotted against Zhejiang and China. The SNDi of new construction in Shengzhou peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Zhejiang which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Shengzhou's incremental SNDi fell from 2.47 to 2.34 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Shengzhou ranked 29th out of 116 cities in Zhejiang and 530th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Kigoma and Lalitpur both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Shengzhou built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Kigoma and Lalitpur both became progressively more disconnected, while Shengzhou grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Shengzhou and Kigoma have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
