The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Lishui plotted against Zhejiang and China. The SNDi of new construction in Lishui rose steadily, compared to Zhejiang which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Lishui's incremental SNDi rose from 2.41 to 2.42 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Lishui ranked 24th out of 116 cities in Zhejiang as of 2020.

In new street additions, Lishui built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Zheba fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Kaolack built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Lishui and Kaolack both became progressively more disconnected, while Zheba grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Lishui and Kaolack have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
