The SNDi of new construction in Jinyun County was at its lowest in 1976-1990, compared to Zhejiang which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jinyun County's incremental SNDi rose from 1.98 to 3.01 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jinyun County ranked 19th out of 116 cities in Zhejiang and 353rd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
While Zhanaozen and Joura both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Jinyun County built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns in new street additions. For the full network, Jinyun County became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards, while Zhanaozen grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Joura became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Jinyun County had a more sprawly network than Joura in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
