The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Fengqiao plotted against Zhejiang and China. The SNDi of new construction in Fengqiao followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, compared to Zhejiang which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Fengqiao's incremental SNDi fell from 1.48 to 1.08 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Fengqiao ranked 1st out of 116 cities in Zhejiang and 25th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Fengqiao fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Gongping built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns and Kafue built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Fengqiao fluctuated in connectivity, while Gongping became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards and Kafue became progressively more disconnected. Fengqiao and Gongping have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
