The SNDi of new construction in Lufeng peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Yunnan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Lufeng's incremental SNDi fell from 2.34 to 1.74 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Lufeng ranked 8th out of 78 cities in Yunnan and 311th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Lufeng and Nanpu both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Bhangura fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Lufeng grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Bhangura became progressively more disconnected and Nanpu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Lufeng and Bhangura have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
