The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Fumin plotted against Yunnan and China. The SNDi of new construction in Fumin rose steadily, compared to Yunnan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Fumin's incremental SNDi rose from 2.28 to 4.07 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Fumin ranked 42nd out of 78 cities in Yunnan and 1056th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Fumin built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while El Hamma built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Aïn El Aouda fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Fumin became progressively more disconnected, while El Hamma grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Aïn El Aouda fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Fumin had a more connected network than El Hamma in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
