The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Korla plotted against Xinjiang Uygur and China. The SNDi of new construction in Korla peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Xinjiang Uygur which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Korla's incremental SNDi fell from 3.43 to 2.98 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. While Ujjain and Bihar Sharif both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Korla built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Ujjain and Bihar Sharif both became progressively more disconnected, while Korla grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Korla and Ujjain have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
