The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Ziyang plotted against Sichuan and China. The SNDi of new construction in Ziyang was at its lowest in 1991-2005, compared to Sichuan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Ziyang's incremental SNDi rose from 3.38 to 3.67 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Ziyang ranked 80th out of 98 cities in Sichuan and 1653rd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Ziyang built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns, while Minna built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Bremen built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Minna and Bremen both became progressively more disconnected, while Ziyang became progressively more connected. Ziyang and Minna have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
