All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Wusheng's incremental SNDi rose from 1.87 to 2.29 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Wusheng ranked 13th out of 98 cities in Sichuan and 363rd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Wusheng and Xiaolong both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Worcester built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Wusheng and Xiaolong both fluctuated in connectivity, while Worcester became progressively more disconnected. Wusheng and Worcester have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
