The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Junlian plotted against Sichuan and China. The SNDi of new construction in Junlian rose steadily, compared to Sichuan which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Junlian's incremental SNDi rose from 4.35 to 4.96 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Junlian ranked 70th out of 98 cities in Sichuan and 1550th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Junlian built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Kekri fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Doyogena built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Junlian became progressively more disconnected, while Kekri grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Doyogena became more connected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then grew more sprawly from 1976-1990 onwards. Junlian and Doyogena have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
