All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Jiajiang's incremental SNDi rose from 2.4 to 3.18 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jiajiang ranked 23rd out of 98 cities in Sichuan and 576th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

For the full network, Jiajiang and Mudkhed both became progressively more disconnected, while 51 farm of 12th division fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Jiajiang had a more sprawly network than 51 farm of 12th division in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
