The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Yuncheng plotted against Shanxi and China. The SNDi of new construction in Yuncheng fell steadily, compared to Shanxi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Yuncheng's incremental SNDi fell from 3.21 to 2.76 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Yuncheng ranked 43rd out of 80 cities in Shanxi and 1195th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Yuncheng built increasingly connected streets over time, while Meizhou built increasingly disconnected streets over time and Bajitpur fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Yuncheng became progressively more connected, while Meizhou became progressively more disconnected and Bajitpur fluctuated in connectivity. Yuncheng and Meizhou have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
