The SNDi of new construction in Yu peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Shanxi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Yu's incremental SNDi fell from 2.76 to 2.41 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Yu built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Bouira fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Jinotega built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Yu grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Bouira fluctuated in connectivity and Jinotega became progressively more disconnected. Yu and Jinotega have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
