The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Yicheng plotted against Shanxi and China. The SNDi of new construction in Yicheng fell steadily, compared to Shanxi which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Yicheng's incremental SNDi fell from 2.94 to 2.82 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Yicheng built increasingly connected streets over time, while Açailândia fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Sherbrooke built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Yicheng became progressively more connected, while Açailândia fluctuated in connectivity and Sherbrooke became progressively more disconnected.
