All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Zhujing's incremental SNDi rose from 3.79 to 4.4 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Zhujing ranked 8th out of 11 cities in Shanghai and 1479th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Zhujing fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Liangping built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Daet built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Zhujing and Liangping both became progressively more disconnected, while Daet grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Zhujing and Liangping have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
