The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Zhujiajiao plotted against Shanghai and China. The SNDi of new construction in Zhujiajiao peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Shanghai which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Zhujiajiao's incremental SNDi fell from 4.26 to 4.04 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Zhujiajiao ranked 10th out of 11 cities in Shanghai and 1579th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Zhujiajiao built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Jiangyin built increasingly connected streets over time and Ulaan Moron fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Zhujiajiao grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Jiangyin became progressively more connected and Ulaan Moron fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Zhujiajiao had a more connected network than Ulaan Moron in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
