The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Changxing plotted against Shanghai and China. All three follow the same trend in new construction, suggesting a shared regional pattern of development. Most recently, Changxing's incremental SNDi rose from 3.96 to 4.0 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Changxing ranked 9th out of 11 cities in Shanghai as of 2020.

In new street additions, Changxing and Drachevo both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Fracc Villas del Real 2da Seccion built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Looking at the full network, Drachevo and Fracc Villas del Real 2da Seccion both became progressively more disconnected, while Changxing grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Notably, Changxing had a more connected network than Fracc Villas del Real 2da Seccion in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
