The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Zhanhuaqu plotted against Shandong and China. The SNDi of new construction in Zhanhuaqu peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Shandong which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Zhanhuaqu's incremental SNDi fell from 1.3 to 1.22 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. For the full network, Zhanhuaqu and Quipungo both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Wels became progressively more disconnected. Zhanhuaqu and Quipungo have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
