The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Wendeng plotted against Shandong and China. While Shandong and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Wendeng's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Wendeng's incremental SNDi rose from 1.57 to 1.93 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Wendeng ranked 21st out of 124 cities in Shandong and 111th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Wendeng and Dazhuang both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Cotabato City built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Cotabato City and Dazhuang both became progressively more disconnected, while Wendeng fluctuated in connectivity. Wendeng and Cotabato City have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
