While Shandong and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Wendeng's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. In new street additions, Wendeng and Dazhuang both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Cotabato City built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Cotabato City and Dazhuang both became progressively more disconnected, while Wendeng fluctuated in connectivity. Wendeng and Cotabato City have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
