The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Mouping plotted against Shandong and China. While Shandong and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Mouping's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Mouping's incremental SNDi rose from 2.09 to 2.81 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Mouping ranked 45th out of 124 cities in Shandong and 258th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Mouping and Shaodong both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Lalamusa built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. For the full network, Mouping and Lalamusa both became progressively more disconnected, while Shaodong fluctuated in connectivity. Mouping and Shaodong have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
