The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jiaxiang plotted against Shandong and China. While Shandong and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Jiaxiang's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jiaxiang's incremental SNDi rose from 1.46 to 1.74 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Jiaxiang ranked 14th out of 124 cities in Shandong and 64th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Jiaxiang and Pingtung City both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Moga built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Moga and Pingtung City both became progressively more disconnected, while Jiaxiang fluctuated in connectivity. Jiaxiang and Moga have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
