The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Feixian plotted against Shandong and China. While Shandong and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Feixian's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Feixian's incremental SNDi rose from 2.56 to 3.11 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Feixian ranked 79th out of 124 cities in Shandong and 799th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

What about similarly populated cities?
In new street additions, Feixian and Camaçari both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Koliwar built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Feixian and Camaçari both became progressively more disconnected, while Koliwar became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Feixian and Camaçari have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
