What about similarly populated cities?
While Aklera and Yalta both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Dongming fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Aklera and Yalta both became progressively more disconnected, while Dongming fluctuated in connectivity. Notably, Dongming had a more sprawly network than Aklera in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
