The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Longxian plotted against Shaanxi and China. While Shaanxi and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Longxian's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Longxian's incremental SNDi rose from 3.47 to 3.85 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Longxian and Ikot Aba both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Massinga built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Ikot Aba and Massinga both became progressively more disconnected, while Longxian fluctuated in connectivity. Longxian and Ikot Aba have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
