The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Yanchi plotted against Ningxia Hui and China. While Ningxia Hui and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Yanchi's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Yanchi's incremental SNDi rose from 1.92 to 3.03 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Yanchi ranked 10th out of 15 cities in Ningxia Hui and 502nd out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Yanchi and Vila Jardim both fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Barharwa Khurd built increasingly connected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then shifted to more disconnected patterns. For the full network, Yanchi became progressively more disconnected, while Vila Jardim fluctuated in connectivity and Barharwa Khurd became more connected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then grew more sprawly from 1991-2005 onwards. Yanchi and Vila Jardim have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
