The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Yixian plotted against Liaoning and China. The SNDi of new construction in Yixian peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Liaoning which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Yixian's incremental SNDi fell from 3.1 to 1.89 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Yixian ranked 40th out of 61 cities in Liaoning as of 2020.

In new street additions, Yixian built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Qaryat Jarf al Milh built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Kandi built increasingly disconnected streets over time. Looking at the full network, Qaryat Jarf al Milh and Kandi both became progressively more disconnected, while Yixian grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Yixian and Qaryat Jarf al Milh have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
