The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Xingcheng plotted against Liaoning and China. The SNDi of new construction in Xingcheng peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Liaoning which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Xingcheng's incremental SNDi fell from 2.86 to 2.69 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Xingcheng ranked 33rd out of 61 cities in Liaoning and 755th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Xingcheng built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Valera built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Goroimari fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Xingcheng grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Valera became progressively more disconnected and Goroimari fluctuated in connectivity. Xingcheng and Goroimari have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
