The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Jianchang plotted against Liaoning and China. The SNDi of new construction in Jianchang peaked in 1976-1990, compared to Liaoning which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Jianchang's incremental SNDi fell from 3.0 to 1.92 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Jianchang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Barpeta Road fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Sarishabari fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Jianchang grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, while Barpeta Road fluctuated in connectivity and Sarishabari fluctuated in connectivity. Jianchang and Sarishabari have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
