The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Nong'an plotted against Jilin and China. While Jilin and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Nong'an's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall decrease. Most recently, Nong'an's incremental SNDi rose from 1.32 to 1.46 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Nong'an ranked 1st out of 47 cities in Jilin and 38th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Kapadvanj and Phulbaria both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Nong'an fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Kapadvanj and Phulbaria both became progressively more disconnected, while Nong'an grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. Nong'an and Kapadvanj have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
