The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Hunchun plotted against Jilin and China. The SNDi of new construction in Hunchun peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Jilin which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Hunchun's incremental SNDi fell from 4.5 to 3.42 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Hunchun ranked 38th out of 47 cities in Jilin and 1370th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Giresun and Cibodas both built increasingly disconnected streets over time, Hunchun built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Giresun and Cibodas both became progressively more disconnected, while Hunchun grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Notably, Hunchun had a more sprawly network than Giresun in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
