The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Zhangshu plotted against Jiangxi and China. The SNDi of new construction in Zhangshu rose steadily, compared to Jiangxi which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Zhangshu's incremental SNDi rose from 2.14 to 2.33 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Zhangshu ranked 14th out of 82 cities in Jiangxi and 326th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Oradea and Renshou both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, Zhangshu built increasingly disconnected streets over time in new street additions. For the full network, Zhangshu and Oradea both became progressively more disconnected, while Renshou grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved. Zhangshu and Renshou have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
