The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Wanzai plotted against Jiangxi and China. While Jiangxi and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Wanzai's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Wanzai's incremental SNDi rose from 2.32 to 2.73 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Wanzai ranked 17th out of 82 cities in Jiangxi and 436th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

While Daet and Sampang both built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved, Wanzai fluctuated in its street-construction patterns in new street additions. Looking at the full network, Daet and Sampang both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Wanzai became progressively more disconnected.
