In new street additions, Hedong fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Meichuan fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Avaré built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Hedong fluctuated in connectivity, while Meichuan became progressively more connected and Avaré became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Hedong had a more connected network than Meichuan in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
