The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Yuqi plotted against Jiangsu and China. While Jiangsu and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Yuqi's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Yuqi's incremental SNDi rose from 3.19 to 3.65 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Yuqi ranked 81st out of 101 cities in Jiangsu and 1366th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Yuqi fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Sonchon built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Weishan built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Yuqi fluctuated in connectivity, while Sonchon grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Weishan became progressively more disconnected. Yuqi and Sonchon have been converging in their street-network character since 1975.
