The SNDi of new construction in Xuyi County fell steadily, compared to Jiangsu which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Xuyi County's incremental SNDi fell from 2.17 to 1.94 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In new street additions, Xuyi County built increasingly connected streets over time, while 小名浜愛宕上 built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Nikopol fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. Looking at the full network, 小名浜愛宕上 and Nikopol both became progressively more disconnected, while Xuyi County became progressively more connected. Notably, Xuyi County had a more sprawly network than Nikopol in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
