The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Qiandeng plotted against Jiangsu and China. While Jiangsu and China both followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase, Qiandeng's new street additions followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Qiandeng's incremental SNDi rose from 2.6 to 2.81 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Qiandeng ranked 45th out of 101 cities in Jiangsu and 780th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Qiandeng fluctuated in its street-construction patterns, while Honey Gables built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Olavarría built increasingly disconnected streets over time. For the full network, Qiandeng fluctuated in connectivity, while Honey Gables grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved and Olavarría became progressively more disconnected. Notably, Qiandeng had a more connected network than Honey Gables in 1975 but the two have since reversed their relative ranking.
