The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Huangqiao plotted against Jiangsu and China. The SNDi of new construction in Huangqiao peaked in 1991-2005, compared to Jiangsu which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Huangqiao's incremental SNDi fell from 3.57 to 2.6 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Huangqiao ranked 66th out of 101 cities in Jiangsu and 1134th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Huangqiao built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Magaria fluctuated in its street-construction patterns and Ruichang built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1976-1990, then improved. For the full network, Huangqiao and Ruichang both grew more disconnected from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved, while Magaria fluctuated in connectivity. Huangqiao and Ruichang have been growing further apart in their street-network character since 1975.
