The chart above shows SNDi trends for new street additions (left panel) and the entire network (right panel), with Dagang plotted against Jiangsu and China. The SNDi of new construction in Dagang rose steadily, compared to Jiangsu which peaked in 1976-1990 and China which followed a zig-zag trend with an overall increase. Most recently, Dagang's incremental SNDi rose from 3.65 to 4.39 between 1991-2005 and 2006-2020. In terms of the aggregate network, Dagang ranked 86th out of 101 cities in Jiangsu and 1439th out of 1843 in China as of 2020.

In new street additions, Dagang built increasingly disconnected streets over time, while Safdarabad built increasingly disconnected streets from 1975 through 1991-2005, then improved and Agbaku fluctuated in its street-construction patterns. For the full network, Dagang and Safdarabad both became progressively more disconnected, while Agbaku fluctuated in connectivity.
